This Privacy Policy explains how Praise Pipeline LLC (“PraisePipeline,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with our review-collection platform, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). It applies to our business customers and their authorized users (“Customers”) and to the end customers who submit or receive review requests through the Service.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
PraisePipeline is a software product that helps businesses collect customer reviews and testimonials, invite customers to also post those reviews on Google, and display approved reviews through a dashboard and an embeddable widget. Praise Pipeline LLC is the entity responsible for the Service.
If you have any questions about this Policy or your personal information, contact us at [email protected].
2. Our two roles: account data vs. review data
We handle personal information in two distinct roles, and it matters for your rights:
- Data we control. For the account holders and team members who sign up for and administer a PraisePipeline account, we act as the party that determines how and why their information is used.
- Data we process for our Customers. When a business uses PraisePipeline to request and collect reviews from its own customers, that business decides what data is collected and why. We process the end customers’ information on that business’s behalf. If you submitted or received a review request and want to access, correct, or delete your information, please contact the business you interacted with; we will assist that business in responding to your request.
3. Information we collect
Account and profile information
When a Customer creates an account, we collect the account holder’s and team members’ names, email addresses, and company name, along with authentication details. You can sign in with an email and password or with Google sign-in; when you use Google sign-in, our authentication provider receives your basic Google profile and email to establish your account.
Billing information
Paid subscriptions are processed by our third-party payment processor. Your card number and billing address are collected and stored directly by that processor through its secure checkout—we do not receive or store your full card details. We retain only limited billing records such as a customer identifier, subscription status, and billing period.
Review and end-customer information
Through the Service we collect and store information about our Customers’ end customers, including:
- Review submissions — the reviewer’s name (optional), email address (optional), star rating, written review text, and any tags the business has defined.
- Review-request recipients — the customer name and email address used to send a review request. This information is typically provided to us by the business’s connected e-commerce or CRM platform when an order or event occurs.
- Email delivery records — the recipient email address, message identifiers, and delivery status of review-request emails, which we use to send messages, enforce sending limits, and measure usage.
Support requests
When you contact support, we receive the information you include in your message so we can respond and keep a record of the request.
Information collected automatically
We use strictly necessary first-party cookies to keep you signed in and secure your session (see “Cookies” below). We also use privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the Service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and our application does not itself log your IP address, device details, or precise location. Our infrastructure and email providers may record limited technical data (such as IP addresses) to operate and secure their services.
4. Cookies
The only cookies we set are essential, first-party cookies used to authenticate you and maintain your logged-in session. Because these cookies are strictly necessary to provide the Service—and because our analytics is cookieless—no cookie-consent banner is required. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from staying signed in.
5. How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- To send review-request and transactional emails on our Customers’ behalf, and to measure their delivery.
- To process subscriptions, payments, and billing.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you.
- To enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, and maintain the integrity and security of the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share personal information only as needed to run the Service, with the following categories of recipients:
- Hosting, database, and authentication providers that store data and manage sign-in on our behalf.
- Payment processors that handle subscriptions and billing.
- Email-delivery providers that send review-request and transactional messages and report delivery status.
- Error- and performance-monitoring providers that help us detect and fix problems and keep the Service reliable.
- Our Customers’ own connected platforms (such as their e-commerce store or CRM) that send us order and customer details so review requests can be triggered.
These providers may process personal information only to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We may also disclose information to comply with the law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect our rights and users’ safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Posting reviews on Google
After a review is submitted, a Customer may invite the reviewer to also post it on Google. This works by opening Google’s own review page in the reviewer’s browser, where the reviewer chooses to post. We do not transmit the reviewer’s information to Google—any posting on Google is done by the reviewer directly and is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policy.
8. Data retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as an account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When a Customer cancels, we keep the account’s data for a 90-day window so the Customer can reactivate or export it; after that window we permanently delete it, except where we are required to retain limited records to comply with legal, tax, or security obligations. A Customer may request earlier deletion by contacting us. Account administrators can export their review data (including reviewer email addresses) at any time while their account is active.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, secure authentication, and access controls that limit review data to each Customer’s own organization. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and rights
Account holders can review and update their profile information within the dashboard, or contact us at [email protected] to access, correct, or delete their information or close their account.
If you are an end customer who submitted or received a review request, the business you interacted with controls that data. Please direct access, correction, or deletion requests to that business; we will support the business in honoring your request.
11. Your California privacy rights
This section applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the “CCPA”). In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, as described above:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email address, company name, account identifiers |
| Commercial information | Subscription and billing records, review-request history |
| Customer records / protected classification is not knowingly collected | Review content, ratings, and tags submitted by end customers |
| Internet or network activity (limited) | Aggregate, cookieless website analytics; email delivery status |
We collect this information for the business purposes described in “How we use information” and share it with the categories of service providers described in “How we share information.” We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months.
Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about them, and how we use and disclose it.
- Request deletion of their personal information.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will verify your request using information associated with your account before responding. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification. If you are an end customer, please contact the business that requested your review, as described above.
12. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Where we process information
We are based in the United States and process personal information there. If you access the Service from another country, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
